#Blogtober16 Day 15 - Timeline of Your Day (In A SN Household)

I'm going with a normal school day for this one. Although my days vary a lot depending upon appointments etc, I'll give a general gist.

6:00-6:00 - Woken up by a bouncy boy asking me to inspect his latest Lego creations or wanting to know what the biggest number is. We do have a rule tho, that no questions are to be asked while my eyes are still closed!

6:30-7:00 - Alarm finally goes off signalling that it's time to feed the hordes! Downstairs dishing out tablets and toasting bread and tripping over feeding the cats.

7:00-7:30 - Drag Miss Fanny Adams out of bed and dump cereal in front of her. Hopefully by this time Boy has gone back upstairs and WW3 can be averted - having them both at the breakfast table before their tablets have a chance to kick in is not a pleasant start to my day! If I get chance, check Facebook, Timehop and Instagram.

7:30-8:00 - Hopefully by 7:30, Boy has eaten his breakfast and is getting dressed. If not distracted by Lego, he will be downstairs playing on the iPad. Make sure Missy eats her breakfast and doesn't get distracted by any squirrels running around (the metaphorical type). Make sure Boy has shoes, coat and bag ready.

8:00-8:30 - Chase Boy into his taxi and Missy into the bathroom for teeth and to get dressed. By this time Bug is usually dressed and I have to plait her hair. Which is waist length.

8:30-9:00 - Ensure Missy gets into her taxi without spurious teddies and toys, then run upstairs to wash my face and brush my teeth, throw some clothes on and take Bug up to school.

9:00-2:30 - It really depends what I've got in. Sometimes it's appointments, at the minute on Tuesdays I'm doing the Early Bird Plus course so that's a morning's worth. Other times it's shopping or going out for coffee. Or it could just be boring housework. And there will be some lunch in there. Obviously.

2:30-4.00 - My mum and I take turns picking the Bug up from school so if it's my turn to pick her up I will leave at 2.30 so I can get a decent parking space. If Mum is picking her up then I'll probably do some housework or get a nap if it's been a particularly bad day! The rest of the time is spent decanting children from taxis, inspection home-school books, feeding them again (!) and seeing how their day went. And having a cup of tea!

4:00-5:00 - If the kids are at my house for tea then this is the time they are getting showers and I'm cooking tea. It's pretty chaotic!

5:00-7:00 - Because of my own health and the children's issues, my sister and brother in law provide me respite. So a few days a week they go to my sister's house for tea and showers. If it's one of those nights then I get a bit of quiet time, catch up on my TV shows, tidy up and wash up. If they're at home then it's just a free for all of food, pots, trying to prevent them from killing each other and getting ready for bed.

7:00-8:00 - Bedtime for Bug and Boy, although Boy has some quiet time before he goes to sleep. This gives me and Missy some time together before bed time. We like to have a bit of a cuddle and read.

8:00-9:00 - Time for Missy to go to bed (unless its Great British Bake Off of course). She has trouble sleeping so has melatonin but it's not always straightforward and sometimes she will still be awake quite late on into the night. As her bedroom is downstairs, I have to be quite quiet while she settles and I can't have the TV on otherwise she won't sleep. So I usually use this time to study, read, catch up on social media or work on my blog.

9:00-10:30 - Hopefully, this is my time. Often it's not and someone is still awake! But if a miracle has happened and they're all asleep I can watch something on TV, do some blogging, chat to my friends on Whats App or get on with my crochet or reviews.

10:30 - After this I'm supposed to be in bed and asleep. But I'm terrible for getting distracted watching YouTube videos. One of my favourites for sending me to sleep is Dr Pimple Popper. There's just something about watching blackheads being squeezed that soporific!

So that's my day, more or less! Don't forget to follow the bat and check out other people's timelines!
