#Blogtober16 Day 9 - Favourite Movies You Never Get Tired of Watching
Favourite movies. Well let's start with one my kids never tire of watching and I have never liked - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I don't know why but that film has always given me the creeps but they love it. So I'm now much more familiar with it than I'd like to be.
Films I can watch over and over tend to be the oldies. Singin In the Rain, How to Steal a Million, Some Like It Hot. I mean, come off it, who can't watch those over and over? In fact I can watch anything with Gene Kelly or Tony Curtis in it over and over. And the end line of Some Like it Hot is movie history.
When it comes to more modern films, well actually they're not. They're about 20 years old which makes me feel ancient. Emma is a classic. Ewan McGregor trying (and failing) to pull off an English accent, and the oh so debonair Jeremy Northam!
I'm trying to think what DVDs or films I've bought recently. I can always watch Iron Man. It's hilarious and SciFi, a favourite combo. Oh and Star Trek Into Darkness. Well, come on, it's Benedict Cumberbatch being, well, Benedict Cumberbatch!
Another favourite are the Fast and Furious films. I never understand them the first time and have to rewatch them several times to work out the plot. Although I sobbed at the end of the last one. But then, who didn't? And because I'm mean like that I'll leave you with the music video that left no-one with a dry eye.
